So my MIL wants me to pick out a crib (I think she's trying to "sneakily" buy it for me hahaha)

Anyway I adored the crib I had for DD but between moving a few times, pieces were lost/broken so I tossed it. But I was under the impression it turned into a full size headboard/ foot board yet it didn't. So I wanted to find a crib that does for this baby.

I found and fell in love with the Dream On Me Ashton Convertible 4-in-1 Crib. Toys R Us sent me a 20% off coupon that I could use for it... but they are out of stock of the colors except black and white... but I REALLY like Cherry (DD's was cherry and I loved it). The crib is going to be in our room for a few years (probably 2 but we'll see. DD stayed in our room for 3 years so... ) and our headboard is cherry so it'd match...

BTW: I'm having a girl and I'm due end of July.

So do I go with:

Or hope Cherry goes back in stock before July and that I get another good coupon:

I get coupons all the time from them so chances are that you will get another one b4 its down to the wire. I like dark cribs too lol. You still have time to wait but if you wanted to get the white you could stain it yourself.

Will they give you a raincheck honoring the 20% off??

I would think they'd have more in stock fairly soon, but who knows.

Go with the white, we've had white cribs for both our youngest girls and they don't get 'dirty' at all...Chloe's is over a year old and still looks brand new!

Babies r us is more expensive then other stores even with the coupon usually... walmart have the same crib for $149.99 in black n white (not cherry)

i personally like black bc it's more mod, but if cherry goes with your room and the crib will be in there - then wait for cherry. you can call BRU (the corporate number) and ask them if they have an order in for them.

Krystal: It's painted and coated so it'd be a serious pain to remove all that to stain it. >_<

Loser Mom: I doubt they'll give me a rain check. I'm just worried it's one of those things that it'll never go back in stock. Walmart doesn't have cherry either so I'm wondering it they are phasing it out. Walmart has their white and black on roll back so I dunno...

Yeah I'd have got it through Walmart if I choose white or black, but thanks for letting me know.

I know right! My crib (graco lauren) was $40 MORE at babies r us. I just did free site to store and picked it up for free

ahhh, I REALLY like the cherry one, too.   I might hold out a couple weeks to see if they get some in.

i got the storkcraft monza II and i paid $209 at walmart, shipped with tax. BRU after shipping and tax it was like $290! okay, an $80 difference but still.

I have this crib for my son. Its not cherry but like a dark natural color, but i absoluely love it!
