I'm still terrified..

My SO and I found out I was pregnant Dec 25, 2011, and I had a miscarriage Feb 16, 2012.. It was really quick to tell, the heart beat just wasn't there anymore..
Ever since that happened, I can't stop putting myself around babies, moping on my ultrasounds, and I seem to have nightmares at least every few days...
the SO and I decided we are ready to try again... so,
I stopped my bc mid packet, Feb 28.. and by March 2nd, I was bleeding, and I stopped today. I also bought a few ovulation tests...

i'm just so scared about it happening again..
Are my chances of miscarrying higher because of having one previously?  

No my partner miscarried march 2011 got pregnant again Aug 2011 now we have a happy healthy 10 month old.

Sorry for your loss, if you have fb there's a page called edens wings the lady makes bracelets for mothers who have lost a baby, she does it for free or small donation. My fiance ordered one so she has something to remind her of the baby she lost.

I miscarried July 2006, had a smooth pregnancy with DD!

Statistically your chances of having another miscarriage are less than 1%. But it all depends on the reason for your miscarriage. I wish you luck and hope everything goes well with your next pregnancy.

I miscarried April of 2011 and got pregnant July 2011 with a sucessful pregnancy.

Everything and anything makes me think of how badly I want to share my love with a little one..

I misscarried in 2008 and had my ds in 2009... then misscarried again in march of last year and now pregnant again (due in the next few weeks!!) With another little boy.. the miscarriges hurt, a lot, but finally having your child makes it that much easier to deal with!! Good luck!!

That is similar to how I am feeling. We found out we were pregnant Christmas 2012. I found out yesterday that there is no heartbeat and the baby died about 3 weeks ago. I have been feeling something was wrong with the baby from the start. DH wants to try again right away. I don't know if I can try again at all. I am terrified that something like this will happen again. I think I would feel better if I knew why the baby didn't make it. At least then I would know how to prevent it from happening again.

Im so sorry for your loss! My first mc was like that... I lost my baby without knowing for weeks :-( it was so depressing for me... it does get better though! I was a nervous wreck this time around and didnt tell any of my family till I was 19weeks along.. 36wks now and things are going well with him so having a child is still something that can happen! I
don't know why I mc either time that I did... I agree, its hard to not know why it happens

I miscarried July 2011. Got pregnant August 2011. Happy healthy baby girl.

I had DD1 in 2001, Summer 2002, got pregnant with DS1 October 2002, he was born May 2003....had a miscarriage Sept 2006, got PG with DD2 in Dec 2006, she was born Sept 2007...had a blighted ovum and D&C 1 Mar 2012...got PG October 2012, and am currently 22w 4d pregnant with DS2, and so far things are looking good.
