Oh lord!

He has learned to climb! My son just turned 14 months two days ago. I was in the living room listening to him play in his room, next thing I hear was him playing with the blinds so I get up to walk in there to let him know he isn't suppose to be playing with those and there he is standing on the bed! He had climbed up on his toy box and onto the bed! And was jumping around up there!!! How did this happen! I feel terrible. I shouldn't have had his toy box that close to the bed. I would have died if something had happened to him.

Toy box is now on the other side of the room but he is trying to push it back to where it was... This is all happening so fast! He is a toddler now   No more baby. Gahh. Climbing is scary haha.

Any of you mama's dealing with your LO's learning to climb?

He's been able to plop down off stuff for awhile now. Since he learned to walk. But he just learned to climb. And he is doing it on EVERYTHING. His legs are kinda stubby so I believe that's why he is just now getting around to it haha. This stage is terrifying if you ask me.

NO! not his bed haha.
I'm not stupid. His bed is on the other side of the room. We just have our old bed in his room till we figure out what what we want to do with it. He is still in a crib too. Thinking about switching him to his toddler now though that he is climbing like a pro.

aww, if she is standing and doing that i'm sure she will be walking soon. My son started crawing at six months and began cruising along furniture around eight months and started walking on his own at eleven months. He has started everything SUPER early.
He is now showing readiness for potty training too so i think we are going to go get him a chair this weekend and start working with him.

Every baby works at its own pace. There is nothing wrong with that

Mine crawled early too. She is going for speech and leg therapy soon, her legs are too weak to support her whole 16lbs of body weight. lol, she just started cruising a few weeks ago and standing along furniture about 1.5 months ago. lol The chair as to be beside something and she has to hold onto it to stand on it, then once she does she rocks it till it falls over.

My oldest was cruising along furniture by 8mo and walking at 10mo. Climbing everything at 12mo. It was terrifying and at 2 it's still terrifying but at least now she listens when I tell her no, lol!

She is only 13 months and they are going to put her in speech therapy? I can possibly understand the weight issue with her legs but her speech? Has she not said her first word yet? I mean even if she hasn't isn't 13 months just a little young to be worrying about something like that?

I wish my son were that light! Gideon weighs a whopping 27 almost 28 pounds! And he is only 30 1/2 inches long haha.

No first word yet at all, she only can make the da sound thats it. And she can scream. She points to what she wants, the only time she ever babbles is when she is overtired, she does not mak any sounds at all throughout the day and she never cries, oh srry she can laugh lol that is basically her only sound she makes.

Its early intervention speech therapy.
