Freaking myself out!

posted 6th Mar
Im sitting here realizing that I haven't felt the baby move much in the past two days. I had a bunch of contractions on Sunday and he was moving like crazy. Then Monday yesterday and now today so far i've realized ive only felt him roll a few times. I drank a drink and ate something so im sitting here trying to pay attention to his movement. I asked my SO if he felt him because he is normally really active at night and when I fall asleep my SO will lay and feel him kick. He said he didn't feel him at all last night. I know they have lazy days but I think im freaking myself out. My stomach has also been really squishy the past two days and normally it is hard.

Have you had 10 movements in an hr? At any given time? Rolling counts as well.

Not since yesterday it wasn't 10 movements he just rolled maybe once or twice. I felt hiccups though.

Those counts too. I'd drink OJ or some soda if that doesn't work in an hr or so go to L&D to get checked.

Also lay on your left side after you drink it.

Hiccups do NOT count at all.

OP, you should call your OB and go get checked out. Less than the required kicks is reason for worry. That's what you're doing the counts for and if there aren't enough, you have to find out why.

I agree, if this doesn't prompt some good movement, I'd call L&D!

Hmm well that's what 3 different midwifes told me hiccups count as well any movement the baby makes counts.

Nooo. They are involuntary movements, so they don't count.

I just had this happen to me sunday, I am 31 weeks and hadnt felt her move almost al ALL in 2 days. I went in to be seen. Luckily, she was just turned around and I couldn't feel her kicks in my soft tissue. But what if something was wrong? I could never forgive myself if there was and I didn't go get seen. Better to be safe than sorry!

try drinking something sweet and cold like juice and lay on your left side only for an hour and try to relax not move and use a pen and paper tally how much you feel in an hour my doctor had me do that one day , my son is very active at night i barely feel him during the day every baby is different so yours may be like my son where hes not active during the day but at night he is or has quiet days some days i dont feel him either just here and there but try drinking something cold and sweet like a cup and then lay comfy on your left side and tally the movements for an hour if you get more then 5 you should be good try to see what you get and if your concerned call the doctor hope it helps it worked for my lil guy

I went in because the drink, food, and resting wasn't making him move. As soon as they got the monitors on they picked up him moving. She said it's because his back is to my stomach so when he is kicking he is kicking fluid so im not feeling it as well. Im so glad I went and everything is ok. She told me to never hesitat that they are there to check and make sure everything is ok!

Thank you! I did find out that I had blood in my urine. The nurse said there was no infection. She also said I had a trace of protein but said it could be from the blood. I had a trace of protein in my urine last time also. She didn't say much but that she wasn't worried about Pre E because my blood pressure is perfect and has been. Now im worried and don't go to my OB till Friday.
