Low calorie diet question

posted 6th Mar
I'm starting my diet (again) today. I can have 1,233 calories I was reading that you should have a big breakfast, small lunch and medium supper with 2 small snacks thru the day but how many calories would you put with each meal? I just did my breakfast it was 3 egg whites, 4 slices of turkey bacon a medium apple and a low calorie fuse drink for 221 calories.

I would keep it around 246 calories per meal, give or take for your larger main meals. lol

For my larger meals I would do no more than 500. I tried to keep it under 250 for my lunches. My larger meals were always dinner though. Snacks I kept under 200 also.

Honestly, I wouldnt count calories. If you cut down your calorie intake, it will only make your body go in fat hoarding mode.

Try just adding 6-8 servings of vegetables, 8 glasses of water, and lean meat into your diet and slowly cut out sugars and processed foods. Half of your meals should be green vegetables, not bacon ((especially turkey bacon, you should refrain from eating things man-made!))

Instead of that fuse drink, you need water. Your body can not process those fake sugars. If you want flavored juice, get a juicer and make your own from actual fruits and veggies!

That what I was thinking because normally dinners are the most calories. I was think no more than 250 for breakfast and lunch and then 500 for dinner and about 100 each for my 2 snacks

Yeah, I did 1300 calories a day and in a short time I lost my goal weight (which wasn't much but I couldn't shake it for over a year). Now that I'm not counting calories, it is a little harder to maintain my weight, but definitely do able. I try to keep it to 1800 calories a day now that I'm just maintaining. I also excercise 5 days a week.

If you're going to have a big breakfast I think 300 for breakfast is just fine.

Do you use any apps? I would highly suggest My Fitness Pal.

I LOVE it.
