I wouldn't think anything of it, but I would like to think I would be able to come up with a way to get on the subject without saying, "Yo, found your porn! Hope you don't feel really awkward and weird that I know your personal smurf now." I know I would have been humiliated if my parents found ANY kind porn in my room.

I wouldn't make much out of it. Being a teen myself, I know we're curious about sex and sexuality during this time of our lives. It's healthy that we explore that part of ourselves rather than repress it.
But on the contrary, I could see myself kind of upset if my hypothetical teen was thirteen or somewhere in his/her earliest teenage years and looking up porn in general :/

Wouldn't you rather your young teen get answers from porn.... than sex itself?

I hope my child gets any needed releases or answers from porn or reading material or anything else and then actual sex much later. I started reading literotica at a young age. A really young age, and it didn't mean I was having sex. I wasn't even masturbating actually. I didn't have an orgasm until MUCH later... It was years later I finally realized what I was doing and that was after I had sex.

I thought most parents would rather their kids be curious in porn than sex itself... and I tell ya a LOT of kids are getting into sex early these days. It's sad... it's really sad.

I am saying I think kids should answer their questions about how to have sex and their likes/dislikes through porn rather than sex.

But a lot of kids are answering their questions about their body and likes/dislikes and sex through sex itself, and they are doing it at an even younger age. I'd rather my child be interested in porn than sex itself.... learn about their own sexual identity than their identity of sex with someone else... that can come at an older age. It can come at an older age than what kids are doing nowadays (like my 12 year old niece!)

Your 12 year niece is watching porn? What makes you think that by them looking at porn isnt a step closer to sex? I dont know who your niece hangs around with but 12 wow that is just scary and too young to even be thinking about sex or porn imo they need to be more attentive with her.

I dont know if she is looking at porn but she talks about sex with her friends, as do a lot of kids her age (I taught kids her age... I heard WAY more things that I'd like to hear.... I never knew kids were that into adult things at that age).

And yup, the issue with my niece is being handled... it's a major issue with my family now because she has some major, major issues and it's going to make for a huge problem if it gets any worse. But its not like shes an anomaly, kids these days are trying too hard to be adults.
