re: should the teachers be punished?

posted 6th Mar
On topic I think the teachers did nothing wrong. Kids should be sent out of the class if they're disrupting it until they calm down. It helps no one if they are causing havoc in the room. It happened regularly at my school that we were sent outside or to an empy room for a few minutes, before some one, either a teacher or the head had a wrd with us.

Parents should back up teachers in these situations assuming the punishment was fair for the misbehaviour, otherwise the kids will learn that they can get away with these things.

Weird. I did find in the mirror and teh sun an article but it was only in one housing association and some councils who banned them from flying them on vehicles for health and safety reasons. The housing association banned all flags from being flown from balconies but not the inside of teh house. We've never had a ban in Scotland and arguably if there is one flag that offends Scots its the St George's cross lol

nope, in the area i lived we couldn't have our flags in pubs or anything because it could offend people......sucks.
it's just ridiculous i hate this country.
It's the government going over the top about offending people when they dont realise we are the ones getting offended.

It def wasn't the government stopping them, they even flew the St George's cross on downing street which really is offensive to the other home nations as our flags have never been flown above downing street even when we (Scotland)were the only team in the world cup (I know that was a long long long time ago lol).

It was also just a rumour taht pubs couldn't fly flags and serve people with England tops, the police came out and said as much. It was a smurffy facebook rumour as always, probably started by the BNP or EDL.

It really isnt Muslims stopping the flag being flown but rather health and safety concerns as per these articles. As I said before many British Muslims identify themselves as such -British, English, Scottish, Welsh AND Muslim so they don't get offended by the flags because they are equally Muslim and British etc. Even the generic 'foreigners' tend not to be offended- i've never met any Muslims or people born outside the UK who are offended by the flags appart from when they are shoved in their face by the BNP or EDL.

These people are British and like/ hate Britain as much as teh rest of us. Of course there are some eejits who are racist, really hate Britain and it's people but they like their arch enemy the EDL are extreme and scum and should be ignored until they wither out and die out.

I was put in a small black room, i could not see almost anything. I just stayed there singing, till they'd punish me some more for waking the other kids up when it was nap time.. i'd just sing louder anyway lmao.

if my kids were naughty at school, teachers have every right to punish them with time out, obviously
