Question C-Section mamas...

posted 5th Mar
I went to the OB for my four week check-up this morning and since he couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler, he brought in his "Nintendo DS sized" ultrasound machine. As he was doing it, he was going right along my incision line from where I had my C-Section almost three years ago. Since we got out of appointment, I've felt very tender in that exact area. At 7 weeks when I had to go in for an ultrasound, it didn't bother me nearly as bad as this time. Is it normal? And if so, am I going to keep experiencing it every ultrasound?

I don't recall it being especially sensitive because of an U/S but I do remember at the very beginning of my 2nd pregnancy and the end the old scar line hurt like hell. Felt like it was on fire. Granted my boys aren't even 17 months apart lol, but I've always heard it's normal for the csection scar to be sensitive. Scar tissue isn't meant for stretching so it makes sense that it wouldn't be comfortable.
