If it's a molar pregnancy they will soon notice, without even the ultrasound when it comes to your HCG levels. The biggest tip off for me was the high blood pressure. It was 190/100 at times.... I felt horrible.
They are going to need to wait that 2 weeks for an ultrasound. Maybe they'd let you get one a bit sooner if you asked, but I think they just need to wait until you are further along to get a good look at baby. If your HCG levels are normal that would be why they are not rushing you to get an ultrasound sooner. In a molar pregnancy your HCG levels will be REALLY high.
I looked at your ultrasound, and I agree that your placenta looks huge. That's not how my molar pregnancy looked, though. The baby never fully developed. It turned into basically like a mass. They didn't notice it on the ultrasound. They figured baby had stopped growing and passed on. My placenta was normal. It wasn't until they got in there that they saw all the molar tissue and had labs confirm.
Id just stay relaxed and try not to worry too much. As long as your HCG levels are fine for now, you will be alright. If you start to feel really sick, dizzy... pop in and see if they can check your BP. If it's super-high, request another ultrasound sooner. Also, at your next appointment demand that they recheck your HCG levels again, if they didn't plan to already!
