Quoting Sonya B *Due in March!*:" Aww momma, I can relate... I just had my little girl Thursday and the first couple days I cried so much ... [snip!] ... nipple without even feeling it. I hope once my nipples heal I can toss the shield and get her to latch better... Good luck!"
Congrats on your baby girl by the way! =D
I actually got a madela breast shield at the hospital but he didnt like it but I tried it again today and its really made a huge difference...its made nursing at least tolerable. However I'm worried it will make getting him to latch on correctly very difficult once my nipples heal up and he wont want to nurse without one. =( I don't want to give up on nursing, its so important to me. I also know what you mean about having anxiety. I'm waking up at night way more than he is. He wakes up on his own once, maybe twice a night on his own but I'm awake much more. I also sleep next to him on the couch so I can get to him quicker.
