what is this on my skin?

posted 5th Mar
I woke up today to a very strange set of red bumps on my upper arm (near my shoulder) they don't hurt or feel bumpy, but they're very itchy. I don't have any allergies that I know of. We set off a bug bomb in our apartment last weekend (I was waking up to bug bites all over me before), but laundered our sheets, blankets, etc. right afterwards. Could we still have bugs? I'm wondering what kind if we do. DH and the girls haven't been bitten or had any skin marks either. Just me. x(

It looks like it might be an allergic reaction. Did you change your laundry detergent?

I don't know about the itchiness but it looks similar to popped blood vessels to me

I get that. Usually if I am in a bathing suit to long or if I wear certain deodorant.

That really looks like you are allergic to something you are using.

Nothing I haven't used before. Sometimes we switch between All or Tide detergent, but I've used those detergents a lot in my life and never had this happen before.

How about new soap? Perfume?

No smacking or hitting here. I can't recall if I've hit my arm against something recently, I am kind of clumsy sometimes so I wouldn't be surprised if I have, but I don't know if it would've been hard enough to cause that

You can become allergic to things over time.

I have used DH's deodorant recently. I normally use secret, but lately it's been wearing off on me a lot quicker. DH uses arm & hammer gel stick. I have to take LO to the doctor next week for her 6 month shots so maybe I'll ask the doctor about it (her doctor is our family doctor)

I'll stop using his deodorant and stick to one detergent and see if that makes a difference. I didn't know you could become allergic to things.
