this morning. i noticed yesterday that my supply was kinda being erratic.
i havent had letdown today.
i know he was eating two times he nursed but other than that he hasn't got anything out.

Well, it takes a good 2 or 3 days to up your supply, so continue doing what you're doing for 3 days then see where you're at. Let LO nurse as much as possible, if he will.

what am i supposed to give him then? i only have 20 oz of breastmilk stored.
im seriously depressed.

Are you sure he isn't getting anything? I can't pump at all, I have hand held pumps & it is reeeally hard to get anything out. I can only hand express after a shower, but when my son eats it flows put like crazy.


ETA: I just read you said he is getting mad. You could be right about him not be getting anything but my son gets fussy while eating if he needs to burp or change positions.

Well, if you seriously think he's not getting enough, then I guess formula. I know that's heartbreaking (would have been for me).

Get fenugreek capsules and take 3, 3x a day for a couple of days. 24 hours after you first take them you will notice your supply has grown a LOT! I had supply issues with my first and fenugreek would always work without a doubt. You'll know you're taking enough when your sweat and urine smell sweet like maple syrup.

Oh, and drink dark beer!!

I would burp him and change positions but still he would get mad. I cant hear him swallowing, either.

So, if I keep this up.. I wanna keep him on my breast as much as possible. Hes only had a bottle twice and it was breastmilk..

then how many wet diapers should he have in a day? he's 15 weeks old.

I don't remember but I think like 5 or 6?

He's had at least 6 so far today.

That sounds good then. I mean, if he's not crying and crying all day long no matter what you do, then I'm sure he's fine. Good luck hun!

3 months is around the time your milk starts slowing down a bit, so he is probably PISSED he actually has to work for it. If he has enough wet diapers, I think he should be fine. Enjoy your lactation cookies, have a dark malt beer, etc... Take a warm compress to your breast, massage, and try to express again. That is, and I smurf you not, the only way I can express my milk. And I've been breastfeeding for just about 14 months, with my second child... Same way with my first, and we nursed for 2 1/2 years. Good luck!!
