Donor milk

I'm curious to see if there are other moms who receive donor milk. I EBF my daughter until she was 7 months and I returned back to school. I was never able to truly pump and slowly my supply diminished even though I tried as hard as possible to not lose it with medicine, power pumping, supplements, teas, etc.   I never knew donor milk existed until I googled. I've found some amazing women who have now kept my daughter completely on Breastmilk for the last 4.5 months and going strong. Because of a few women she will get Breastmilk til 2 and I cant explain how happy that makes me. Not only because its the best thing for her but also with her heart condition. So do you donate? Do you receive?

I received I had supply issues from the start and found a wonderful donor. I was sad when she stopped pumping but she gave us a wonderful gift.

I've given pumped milk to a friend for her daughter.

It truly is a gift. My daughter LOVES her milk and the thought of her not having it devastated me

where did you find a donor? i wanna look into finding one for my preemie

I did not know about donor milk during our nicu stay and I wish I had! I would have used it in a heartbeat! I have breastfed my sisters son and she has breastfed dd. not really the same as milk donation lol. I would donate and accept donor milk.

We were offered it when my son was born and for the first few years since he was a preemie and is SN, but we declined. I know some people that have though and they think its great!

i just now found a doner for my 2 month old my supply has decreased so im trying to build it back!

Can I ask why you declined? I'm just curious you don't have to tell me. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea

I have loads of BM in the freezer and have put out an ad with human milk 4 human babies for someone who needs it. My ad gets updated every week with the amount of milk in the freezer. There is currently just over 100oz in there. The ad has been out since December and no-one had contacted me for it  
I would love the milk to go to someone who really needs it for their baby, but it seems like no-one wants it. It's getting really disheartening keeping pumping and just having it sat there in the freezer
