Fussy baby!

Our daughter has always been a fussy baby since day 1 but lately she’s been getting ear infections left and right. Cutting teeth one after the other. She will be 8 months on the 12th and already has four teeth! This has contributed to her uncontrollable night time behavior. She has been waking up and screaming and is inconsolable. We’ve been trying to transition her back to her bedroom but doesn’t want anything to do with it, especially now that she’s sick. I guess I’m just looking for support on here, stories of other people that are going through this. My son was a breeze, she on the other hand is a very difficult baby to care for. The lack of sleep is killing me and my fiancé. What did you do if your child was like this? How did you keep sane? I’m one tired Mommy.  

Girl if your sanity is on the line here do what works. If sleeping with you or in your room is the answer then do it. I don't care if my son wanted to sleep on top of my head, I'd let him if that meant getting sleep.
Have you tried teething tablets?
Has she seen an ENT for the recurrent ear infections?

Also, I always thought Advil worked better for sore gums and they can gave that at 6+ months.

My fiance is taking her in this afternoon as we suspect it is another ear infection by her behavior. She does sleep in our room now and even then we don't get any sleep. My fiance has a long list of ear infections as a child (his mom recorded in his baby book) and our pediatrician says they sometimes can be hereditary. So I think that is why she is not sleeping well most of the time. That and teething. They will probably put her on amoxicilian today like before and that usually clears it up and she's feeling better within days. We haven't tried the teething tablets just the teething gel. I will have to pick those up. It's just her screaming that makes me feel so bad. The fact there is nothing we can do to comfort her. It sucks!

I know   And yeah it hurts them to lay down with an ear infection. Girl, teething tablets are a life saver!

Thank you! We will try them. I feel so bad for her. Last time she had a double ear infection and now teeth on top. Ughh...

Poor baby! I am so sorry I hope that she feels better soon. My daughter who is now 4 and a half had reacurrent ear infections but hers didn't start until she was 14 months old. She had tubes placed October o 2011 and they have worked great. She did have 2 ear infections after she had them placed but we haved made 13 months with no ear infections! I now have a baby with severe reflux and he has rough days as well and today is one of those days. How many ear infections has she had?? I know they say 6 infections in a 1 year span is when they normally do tubes.. Her ear infections were stating to affect her speach although she did talk a lot she wasn't speaking clearly and they told me it was because when they get an infection they can't hear very well and it then starts to affect speach..

my 6 month old has always been a really fussy baby since day one my first son was the easiest baby in the world. my lo usually wakes up about every hour at night hes been teething really bad and has had 2 ear infections already. I wish i could help you with the keeping sane cause i dont know how im doing and im a single mom. I am so tired all the time but i keep going for them. If you find something that helps your lo let me know cause i could use some sleep

I know what you must be going through. I am a single parent....My 1 and a half month old baby is with severe reflux/gas/colic and, so I haven't been getting much sleep myself. Sometimes holding her isn't enough and it tear out my heart that I cant' do much to help her. 4 days ago her Pediatrician changed the formula and said to add a little baby rice cereal with every feeding...it's hasn't started working yet

my first was like that he had acid reflux really bad plus he was lactose and tollerant. the rice cereal in the bottle did help him some but he didnt totally stop spitting up until he started real foods around 6 months. my now 6 month old had colic so bad that from 2 weeks until 3 months he cried from 5pm to 9pm every night and there was nothing i could do for him plus i suffered from ppd really bad i still have it but its under control now. even at 6 months he such a fussy baby but is staring to get more content as he gets older.

Poor Baby and poor you! but the reflux went on till 6 months? Oh my! Looks like I need to figure out a way to get some sleep during the day while she is napping.

yea i would my first woke up every 2 hours until he took himself off the bottle a week after his first birthday. my 6 month old is very random he was sleeping through the night until he was 4 months old and than it all went to hell and he wakes up every hour now

Waking up every hour is hard.
