Ingrown hair maybe?

It would show up on the pap because it is a strain of HPV & the pap checks you for HPV, but if the bump wasn't there when you had the pap, it may not show up. HPV can hide & then just come out randomly one day so you could of had it for awhile but it just never came out until recently.

If I am not mistaken, I believe people can carry the HPV their entire lives without ever having an outbreak. Most of the time it will only be diagnosed in the event of an outbreak. Go get it checked by your gynecologist op.

No, this is in an area with no hair growth.

I get skin tags when I am pregnant....maybe something like that? Can you call the dr and have them take a look?

That is what I think, too. I get them after I shave a lot.

I think the bump might have been there when I had my pap. I go back in three weeks and am going to mention it to my OB.

Not all paps do but it is becoming increasingly more common for them to do so fortunately.

OP HPV can be dormant for years.

It could be something called a Bartholin Gland Cyst. I've had a couple of those and they freaked me out at first, until I found out what they were. Mine were only small, but I know they can get very big and uncomfortable. Mine drained on their own.

I had a scare when I was like 18. (It turned out to be an ingrown hair) but, my doctor put vinegar on it and told me if it starts to burn then it's a wart.
