I briefly talked to him over a text message about it and he said he lied to avoid drama.   Even though he caused more drama by going about it the wrong way. I'm expecting a nice little talk when he gets home.

I'm trying not to make it a huge deal, because it really isn't. It's simply the way he went about it.

I just don't know how to help him through the insecurities. It's been this way for as long as I can remember and I've never done anything behind his back that he would have to worry about.
