itchy spine?

Hi guys, I know it's normal to get an itchy tummy etc when pregnant but I've never had an itchy lower spine before.
My midwife has never heard of it before either.
It drives me crazy!! Anyone else had this and any ideas how to soothe it?

yes nearly 7yrs ago.

only thing i can think of  

yep i got one on my last 6 pregnancies and i reckon it was after my epi with the first one. not that it even worked properly.
it would drive me mad scratching it.

Do you think that would effect me having a spinal as I'm suppose to be having a c-section.

i wouldn't say so but i never got another epi after i just went with the gas and air.
