Quoting GL♣PK:" <blockquote><b>Quoting CRSx2Mommy:</b>" Sneaky kids, man. I'd like to stick to schedule ... [snip!] ... I put in front of him. Lately I've just said screw it though, he's only hurting himself and if he is starving he will eat!"
Quoting Squid Kid:" I just give DD what she'll eat. Every woman in my family is hypoglycemic, so I can't risk her blood sugar ... [snip!] ... want what I'm having, then I'll try again later or give her something else. Now, when she's 4, that will be a different story."That's what I'm struggling with. Continue the way I am and hope he gets it or wait until he's a bit older and perhaps it will be harder to get him to break but he'll understand better. Idk it's so hard
Quoting CRSx2Mommy:" DS is 20 months old. He has slowly started to become a pickier and pickier eater (just like most toddlers) ... [snip!] ... eat it just deal with the night wakings? Or should I keep making him something else until he's a tad older and can tell me? "Don't give in! I have the same problem, any time I offer food to my son he thinks I'm trying to trick him with something healthy, well because I usually am. lol I've found if I ignore him when he eats and don't make a big deal out of it, he'll try it on his own. Or if I'm eating something he isn't, he'll ask for a bite. It doesn't matter what either, he wants to try it. If I leave something out on the table and ignore him, he'll try it. I did that with carrots and walnuts the other day and he LOVED them. I was like haha so I guess what I'm trying to say is don't give up and keep trying different ways to give it to him. Eventually you will win. lol
