Water birth vs. Natural birth?

I still have quite a while to go before I give birth, but I'm wanting to weigh my options out... I'm honestly considering doing a water birth... but I'm not sure. I had a semi natural birth with my son (They had to give me pitocin two hours into labor, for some reason... smh) I'm wondering, which one do you think would be better for me to do? (that is if this little munchkin doesn't try to go breech on me...) Which would you rather? Who's had water birth or natural? Or both even? what are the pros and cons of both? (besides less chance of hurting baby with drugs which is a pro)

The water felt amazing. I vote water.

I would think water would probably help more with the contractions and discomfort.

Water was a huge relief for me. No cons here.

I guess it'd be considered natural... either way it goes, I'm going to try my best NOT to get any drugs. (and especially will not be getting an epidural...)

I'm gonna talk it over with my doctor next time I go in... (which will be the 13th, so next Wednesday...) I wouldn't mind doing water birth. DH is pushing me to get the epidural but I refuse to. I didn't have it with my son, if I could do it once. I can do it again.

I didn't have a water birth, because they don't allow them in my hospital, but i was in the bath all of my labour until i had to push, it wa so much more relaxing then sitting/lying on a hard uncomfortable bed, i say go the water birth!  

Water births are AMAZING! I had one with DS. When I was pregnant with him I was adamant he was going to be my last baby, but the water birth I had was so fantastic I decided to have another just for another chance to have another water birth   x

I have had three water births and am planing my fourth!! I love them . I usually don't get into the water till I start to feel myself loesing control of myself ( not the contractions , you can't control those just my reaction to them ) it helps me relax inbetween the contractions so all my energy goes into the contractions themselves . For me it takes the edge off which is invaluable when your in that much pain!!

Well I'm sold :-) I'm going to talk to my OB about it next week when I go in. Hopefully she will sit down and talk about it with me.
