re: Home birthers: How did you tell MIL?

One of my best friends is a nurse and she had a home water birth in her living room. She pushed all of 20min and had her midwife and doula at the house. Maybe she'll be more supportive than you think, or it will make her feel better by being there since she is a nurse, just in case you need some medical intervention.

She could lose her medical license if she participates actively in my labor, even if nothing goes wrong. That's why in an emergency, I'm requesting everyone books it while hubs calls the ambulance.
