Very interesting article debate and discuss 

I read the first half with the important information.

I don't think the parents are wrong for wanting to terminate or offering extra money for it. However, there are risks involved with using a surrogate and they can't expect her to go against their own morals. They should have spent more time finding someone with the same views as them in case this situation arose or at least talked about it first. Although it seems wrong that someone can choose the fate of someone elses child and a families life, it wouldn't be right to force her to have an abortion because it's still her body.

I feel bad for the family and if I were their surrogate I'd respect their wishes.

There's was a lot important info in the other half as well. 

I think hands down, when you are a surrogate, you do what you are told for that baby - a baby that is NOT yours. If your morals tell you that you'll never have an abortion, then you shouldn't be in the business of carrying a child for someone else.

I agree that she wasn't the right fit for a surrogate, but I also agree that forcing a woman to have an abortion is wrong.

I guess I'm on the fence.

she ended up on the b/c as the mom, no father listed, and adopted the baby out to a family that has other kids - bio. and adopted - with medical issues.

I feel so bad for the parents they are some what made out to look like bad people for not wanting the baby.

I can't think badly of the bio parents. If I found out a baby I was carrying had those problems I would probably abort as well. I don't think they were doing it selfishly. I believe them when they said they believed it would be easier on the baby. I would feel the same way.

I think if the surrogate didn't feel comfortable with abortion, she shouldn't be a surrogate. Or find a couple who would never abort for any reason. It's in her body, but it's not her baby.
