cord stub. and JJ update

how long did it take for yous new borns cord to fall off? jj's 2 weeks and 2 days and its still hanging on.. it's so gross.. i wish they would have left less of it... it's not infected or anything and the dr said it can be normal for it to have a slight oder.. did anyone notice one on there new born?

a up date on him .. he's doing great.. he weights 8 lbs and 1 oz as of yesterday.. were still exclusively breast feeding and he's doing awesome.. he's a lil short for his age but i'm short i expected that.. i think he's 20 and a half they said.. we go today to get his kidneys scaned.. I can't feed him till i get ther and he's already getting hungry.. they want him not to eat for 3 hours so i can feed him there so he'll be calm for the scan.. I'll tell you all how it goes..

I think Taits was 10 or 12 days. I had those alcohol swabs from my MIL and just squeezed the alcohol onto it everytime I changed his diaper. It should come off soon

Alessandra is 3weeks today and that damn cord is still hanging on... I cant wait for it to fall off lol

Eli was only 6 days old.. it was very nasty.. and gooey. I even used alcohol.. it was just gross. Hope everything goes great for your son!

3 weeks and 2 days before the darn thing fell off! I hope everything goes good!!

My son was 3 weeks old before his fell off despite using alcohol everytime I changed his diaper. The only advice I can give you is to continue to do that to dry it up and make sure it doesn't get wet during bath time! Just like everything else concerning babies, it will happen when it is ready! Irritating at times, isn't it?

I was told at first not to use alcohol.. but when it started getting gooey and gross i started using it..

My son is two weeks, four days, and his cord is still there. Parts of it flake off every now and then.
I want it to fall off soon so we can do tummy time  

Penelope's fell off at 11 days. Just this past weekend actually. I was so glad! She went to her 2 week checkup yesterday and weight 8lbs and 1oz as welland she is still 21 inches long. Congrats on the breastfeeding......I so wish it would have worked for me.  
Anyways hope all goes well with his appt today keep us updated!

they already have me doing tummy time with JJ .. he hates it.. why you have to wait?

i will and thanks .. he's short i know.. he was in the 25 percentile a week after birth and now he's in the 34 percentile.. so he's making progress to that average height at his age... but weight to height was perfect

I just read somewhere that I should. I didn't think to ask my pediatrician...
JJ hates it, huh? I bet my colicky son won't be to thrilled either...

yeah he gets so pissed off.. but it's worth it.. he's already lifting and holding his head up on his own..

his cord came off in his sleeper about a half hour after i posted this...lol.. funny..

at the u/s today his kidneys look good and they don't think there fused.. witch is awesome.. this means if one goes bad for some reason there separated . but i go back to the pedi tomorrow to get the full report of it...
