You don't have to be nasty to him, but not overly friendly either. The shorter, the better. Keep it simple and straight to the point.

I'm sure he's still upset about the break up, even if its just his pride thats hurt. from what ive seen from guys, he'd either throw out your pics from spite, or hold onto them just to have control. I'm not surprised he's not answering you though, if you broke up with him that's pretty normal. You should d do what I do, give him a week or two then call him. play nice, ask him how he's been, then casually ask about the pics. He'll be more receptive if your sweet. Then once you have the pics you can walk away lol. Good luck

Well good I know how frustrating it is to want an item back from your ex and its like they use it against you! He'll just have to get over the relationship you guys had :/
