Need input please

posted 4th Mar
It's been a really long time since I have been on here.

We aren't really trying to conceive but we aren't preventing anything. Here's the situation. I have pcos. I have had really regular cycles since I delivered my son last April. Cycles are between 41-48 days, averaging 43 per cycle. This is day 17. I have some slightly spotting but no other symptoms... My bras don't fit anymore, and they are uncomfortable.

so it possible this is implantation bleeding? Assuming I don't start heavy bleeding, when should I take a test?

Thanks for any input. I'm not sure what to think.

ovulation usually occurs about 14days b4 your af is due to start so cd17 seems to early for implantation bleeding unless u O'd really early.....mabe ovulation bleeding? some women spot alittle when egg is released.

Thanks for responding, I had not considered ovulation bleeding. I guess that is a possibility too. I usually ovulate late in my cycle, like a week before aunt flo shows up.

mabe your cycle is evening out.....ovulating 7days b4 af is too short a luteal phase and can cause failure to become pregnant since you uterus starts shredding before implantion can take place.

Are you familiar with pcos? One of the issues with it is difficulty becoming pregnant. And if a person does get pregnant, making it to delivery is a challenge. The reason we don't prevent is because my chances of conceiving are much smaller than most people. I was even diagnosed as infertile the month prior to conceiving my son. We don't want to hinder the minute chance of me getting pregnant. Some cycles i don't even produce am egg. It's called an anovulatory cycle. Pcos is rare and it sucks.

i have done some research on pcos for my sister.....thats why i mentioned possible ovulation bleeding. It could be a sign that you are having a relatively ''normal'' cycle this month. Sorry u have to deal w/such a miserable issue but you already have proof that u can have a normal cycle pop up unexpectedly

Any normal cycle is always welcome. I haven't had any additional bleeding so I'm not positive what caused the spotting. How long should I wait to test? Should I wait until I actually miss a period or earlier?

If your funds allow it i would start testing regularly in about 7days to check for implantation then every 3days there after so that u can alert your dr right away if u r pregnant. Did u need any specail care w/your previous pregnancy?

The only special care that was needed was bedrest.
