Should a surrogate get a say in the termination for a child? This child was diagnosed as having a cleft palate, heart issues, issues with her organ, among other physical abnormalities. She will need lots of surgeries in hopes to lead a somewhat normal life. The family decided they couldn't raise the child and told the surrogate they wanted an abortion. She refused. They offered her 10k and she said 15k. She claims it was a moment of weakness. The surrogate was carrying a donor's egg that was fertilized with the couple's sperm. She did not know that last fact until the end. The surrogate fled a non surrogacy recognizing state and gave the baby up for adoption. What are your thoughts?
