I'm curious what the majority of you mamas buy for your kids when it comes to shoes? They outgrow them so quickly so for us, we get the $10 Granimal sheos from Walmart and always have without problems.

I get him the cheapies. Lately hes had name brand, but that's because mil is a brand snob and buys them for him. I don't waste the money on smurf he will grow out of in 2 months

before the age of 2, i got ones from walmart of toys r us..after 2 was when i would get name brand since they were better quality. cameron would drag his feet a lot and ones from walmart would goto crap too easy, and if i paid a little extra for dc's they held up better

I buy stride rite. Its pricey but I want them to have good shoes for their developing feet. DH cant wait until DD1 foot is big enough for a pair of vibrams.

I am a shoe freak. Only the best for feet that need to develop with good arches and solid bone structure. We spend about $50-$60/pair.

I wish someone would spend money like that on my little one haha. I can't bring myself to it knowing he'll tear them up and outgrow them before they've been worth what I paid for them.

the boots that DD wears were like 12.95 from H&M. She had SO many shoes, literally like 30 pairs when she was a little baby and wore none (I didn't buy them all, a lot were gifts). My mother convinced me to buy her 30$ boots from Old Navy at Crimbo that she has worn maybe three times because the soles are too hard and they're too high and fall off of her. I KNEW deep down that they weren't sensible but they were cute and I was swayed by my mom.. yeah lesson learned. I'll keep with her soft imitation uggs, they do just fine.

We get all her shoes from stride rite. I want shoes that are good for her feet, and they aren't really that expensive (like $30-$40).

They are all name brand. Idc how fast they outgrow them, I hate cheap shoes that are bad for their feet.

He only wears shoes when he absolutely has to (outside, in public, etc). But I always buy the light up character ones from Walmart...about $15. He likes the light up, I like the light up. lol And they're cheap enough that I don't care overmuch when he grows out of them.

He's 4 now, and reaching a point in his growth that instead of growing out of shoes, he wears them to death first. When it starts costing me less to buy better shoes and have them last, that's what we'll do, but not QUITE there yet.

If you shop smart at stride rite its not that bad. Buy 1/2 size up shop during the BOGO 50% off sale and buy the next size up as well.

I honestly wish she wouldn't. She finds the cutest smurf, but I always freak about him wearing them because I don't want them getting messed up. I grew up with strictly second hand...if I spend more than 10-15 bucks on something I treat it lik gold haha
