Haha! Seriously. I got one on my inner bicep and for the first couple days it would wake me up hurting, then the next couple days it woke me up itching. I was like wtf! This one healed sooo much quicker than any of my other ones, it's crazy.

I can't wait to see how your arm turns out!! Ahh!

This one is peeling pretty fast. It started yesterday... and today is major peeling day   There are a lot of smooth spots that have already completely peeled (mainly being where my shirt sleeve rubs against it... whoops).

I wanna get it finished. The only thing holding me back is money lol. I have to save so much for just one session. It sucks. I have to pay a school tax and then get my hair done, and then it's strictly saving for the next session... which will be the ocean/shark outline on my forearm.

Awful question, but how much are you paying per session? Like this last one he only did some shading and the outline, right?

Ever since I started working in a shop and learning everything I have (he's teaching me to tattoo now!!) I'm so curious how people around the country run their shops and how much they charge. There are artists out there who won't let you even pick the design anymore. Such a crazy lifestyle. I love it.

He does $125 an hour (plus tax)... He had a few deals going on this last session... it should've been $625 plus tax for 5 hours. But, I had put down a $50 deposit towards this session which took it to $575. And then he has a special for March... book 5 hours and get $50 off. So it went down to $525 plus tax, which ended up being $560 and I tipped $30.


SO and him are close... he's done a lot of SO's tattoos. SO said since he's so excited about this and wants to enter it into competitions, he's gonna give me deals per session (like this past one) so that I can come in sooner and get it done faster. Rough estimate per session should be about $500, though. Because 5 hours killed me... I think I might do 4 from now on.

And he picks and chooses what he wants to do. The smaller stuff... he has a guy there to do. He only chooses big pieces or things that interest him. He haaates doing script, because he says he's an artist.. and that's not art  

He used to do whatever came through the door, and he would be booked out for months. Now that he's choosing what he wants to do, he has appointments available within the next week or two. Which is awesome.

That's awesome he's working deals with you guys. The guy I work for hooks me up with reaaaally cheap work, for really detailed, great work. I paid $140 for my anatomical heart/clock (you've seen it on fb?) and it's going to be full color and he's adding in filler to make the tattoos I have on my arm already more put together. And he's going to color my flowers on my shoulder for hella cheap too since one of his ex apprentices smurfed me over and flaked on me and never finished the piece I paid for.

And script is literally the first thing you learn when tattooing. That and flash art. Some people make their careers on just using flash art. It's like painting by numbers, all laid out for you already. No creative process needed. Your guy sounds pretty legit! What's his name? I wanna look him up

That's pretty cool! Brains are creepy and awesome lol. I can't wai to finish my heart. I can't wait to see what he does to it.
