What do I need that I must have!

posted 4th Mar
Hey ladies!
I just want to know what were some things that you would consider "must haves" that helped you or made things easy with your baby!
I'm kind of a perfectionist and this is my first baby and I know I'm not going to get it all right, but I could save a lot time by asking questions
Thanks for any advice or must haves recommended!

the thing i found i used most besides the reg stuff like diapers, creams, was burp clothes i had a pile of about 30 of them. And they were wonderful. No messing blankets everytime or clothes... Then again my kids spit up a lot when they were burped.

Tons of burp cloths. Swings are a hit and miss really, some babies love them and some dont. Big swaddle blankets, not the normal sized small ones. My daughter is 5.5 months and i still swaddle her..i use the bigger swaddle blankets/receiving blankets.

Lol Diapers...I have a stock pile of those already I'd be crazy not to!
I will be getting a swing here soon amazon sent it on its way!!!
Oh my gosh, I was just thinking maybe I should get more burp cloths thank you for the advice!!!
And jams with the zips, I have a few but I will get some more.sounds like a good idea, considering I can barely make it to my bathroom in the middle of the night because I'm still half asleep, haha!

Bibs, swing, boppy pillow, gowns, plenty of sleepers with zippers and snaps, humidifier when he got RSV, soothie pacifier, stroller system with the removable carseat.

Every baby is different. Some may like bouncers, some may like swings. I suggest you buy those second hand so you don't spend $200+ on something your child hates.

Boppy pillows- Some work for some, some don't for others. They work better for me now that he is 12 weeks old.

Stupid things....Like diaper genie's, bottle warmers, wipe warmers, etc...are pointless and are a waste of money, IMO.

I was wondering if those feeding pillows were worth it, because I planned on doing breastfeeding til she was about six months! So thank you!!!

I bought that diaper pail through arm n' hammer, I had to use one with my friends kids awhile ago, and I can tell you what it cut the smells by a lot, and my nose is even less keen on stinky smells right now so I did waste that bit lol

Im not a fan of the boppy being a bigger girl but a nursing pillow in general is a life saver. Is there a reason why you want only want to BF for 6 months?

Burp cloths YES!!! I went through tons of those so that is a great suggestion. My child was never one to be swaddled so at night time along with the zip jammies I also loved the zip sleep sacks for warmth- it had arms and a rounded off bottom and just zips up.

The nursing pillow is an absolute even when bottle feeding IMO. Also, you dont have to buy that expensive ass dreft like the stores like to make you think you need. Any fragrance free detergent will do the trick, and a good stain fighter for those messy diapers that soil your favorite outfits.

Oh I was just told that most women don't have the time to breast feed and babies get started on solid foods too quickly and I don't want her to lack things that milk gives her. I just know when I was a baby I wasn't tolerant of milk and I'm lactose intolerant now so I'll see how it goes with my little girl   but as long as I can I suppose that I will do it longer if my body permits!

What would you recommend for a good stain fighter? I kind of figured I wouldn't have to buy Dreft. I already uses All that's free and clear of dyes and fragrances and the same for Downy!
