Tons of women nurse into the toddler years. Not having enough time is myth. If you had the time at 4 months you have the time at 6 months. Formula is expensive and smelly no reason to switch if your doing good with breastfeeding.

The thing is....I save all of my grocery bags and use those for dirty dipes, lol. Works like a charm and MUCH cheaper.

I also forgot to add.....a TON of receiving blankets will come in handy.

Quoting Brittany and Armajo Baby:" What would you recommend for a good stain fighter? I kind of figured I wouldn't have to buy Dreft. I already uses All that's free and clear of dyes and fragrances and the same for Downy! "

I use the one that comes in the red spray bottle....I cant remember what the brand of it is called. It is scented but I never seemed to have any trouble when I used it...

Eww. Yeah I haven't even thought about buying formula, probably never will! I heard you have more throw up too if they are on formula! :/

Not always true but overeating happens more with formula kids which causes the spit up. Plus if you have a kid with a sensitive tummy or other issue you can spend months trying to find the "right" formula. Baby needs either BM or Formula as their primary nutrition for the first year. Usually by 6 months your are into a routine and its just second nature. I had one kid that was FF and one that was mixed fed due to supply issues. BFing was tons easier even with all the issues I had.

Thank you for the advice I'm glad to hear that BF is easier, it seems less time consuming too...without all the bottle troubles and what nots!

Someone asked me once why I BF. Im simply to lazy to use formula unless necessary. BFing takes 1 hand formula takes two until they hold their own. Baby cries pull out boob latch and done. You can even sleep and nurse. Formula- Baby cries get up grab baby make bottle while holding fussing baby (who is now more awake from the crying) stay awake while feeding baby burp lay down then you have to try and get yourself back to sleep.

It's a decision you have to make for yourself. Breast feeding doesn't make you a better mommy, nor does formula feeding. Don't hesitate to try out BF, but..If it doesn't work for you, don't worry about it! Do what works for you and baby.

I FF my son and also gave him pumped breastmilk for the first month.

I would definitely start with making a list of activities you do as a part of your life. Once you know how active or involved out of the home you want to be you will be able to see what kind of things you need. Like a stroller (http://www.squidoo.com/best-lightweight-baby-strollers) will you be outside a lot, shopping in tight spaces, jogging around the park, be in and out of the car, etc? And baby care: if you have a small home will you just want one swing you can put in the living room for when you are not holding your baby, or is an exersaucer (http://www.squidoo.com/best-exersaucers-for-babies-infants-toddlers-infants) with better movement better for your place? Things to think about!
