re: Breastfeeding pictures on FB *D&D*

I have 2 on facebook. I'm very well covered though & I clearly stated before I posted them that if anyone was going to get offended that they needed to unfriend me because I wouldn't put up with their bullsmurf comments

People are smurfing smurfs. I'd rather see that than a picture of someone in a bikini that shouldn't be. Unfortunately I see the latter all the time on FB.


I have a picture of DS nursing and no one said anything about it.

Some people don't want to see boobs. I can understand that. I cover up in public. But if I'm covered up & someone were to ever say something to me about feeding my baby I would lose my smurf.

Thank you! That's exactly what I said! If boobs are being used for nutritional reasons to feed a hungry baby that's taboo but a girl with her boobs hanging out of her shirt & wearing crotch showing shorts is just fine? Ridiculous.

Are you saying they have a right to say something to someone who choose to not cover?

I love breastfeeding pictures, I share them all the time. Boobs are for feeding babies, and people should get over their issues with it.

hahaha me too. I cover up when I feed DD but my little troll has the bad habit of letting go & wanting to play while eating. I wouldn't want someone to see my boobies either.

Even if I wasn't covered fully i'd flip smurf. Sometimes I don't have time to cover well if DS is upset lol but DH is very supportive/protective about it as well

Not at all actually. Nobody has a right to tell a woman how to feed her baby but if I were to sit there with my boob out I would half expect a snarky remark. People get offended over the stupidest smurf

I think it's ok is natural nd it's a child food....does that mean it's ok to see half naked girls on my news feed or more then half naked like asses in just thongs or girls with their boobs out? nooo like I said b4 is a childs food

I personally wouldn't post a picture like that but I've seen really cute & in my opinion adorable ones posted here on BG. I just thought it was a ridiculous statement the woman made about walking around naked in comparison to breastfeeding & what others were saying. I mean, she's breastfeeding TWO!! They should try fighting four arms that don't want to be covered!

My main reason to cover is because I'm not comfortable with anybody seeing my breasts except DH and LO. I also cover because whether or not YOU agree with covered or not people DO get offended or grossed out or whateverthesmurf they get their panties in a bunch for. I'd rather not risk a rude comment because I probably would rip them a new smurf lol.

She has every right to have them there. I do think women do it now as more of a statement.

I think its very nice. It is a great way to help normalize the image for people who do not understand breastfeeding and so on. That being said, I am a very shy person so I do not post nursing pics of myself anywhere, but to the women who do-more power to them!

Doesn't bother me, seeing women breast feed in public. That's what they're for. I work in a busy department store restaurant and see it all the time. In saying that, if I had been able to Bf my daughter I would have used a cover or blanket as well if out in public but only cos I wouldn't want people seeing my boobies lol   not out of shame etc.
