Pregnant and not showing like other women

posted 4th Mar
I'm 17 weeks and I barely look pregnant. Some of my clothes don't fit as well as they used to but I'm still not showing ss much as other women are at this week in their pregnancy. I'm just curious as to why I don't have a belly like others. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I'm not having to buy much bigger clothes but I would like to show a belly off

Is this your first? If so u might not show until a little later, and if your a little bigger it will take a little longer to show.

I didn't show until way into 3rd trimester. It's normal not to show very early. It can be because of genetics. Both yours and babies. It can also have to do with your weight and height. Though not always. I was 110 pre pregnancy and 5' ft tall. I still didn't show till 30 weeks.

If this is your first, then it's not uncommon for you not to show at 17 weeks. I didn't show with my first until I was nearly 28 weeks. I only really got to enjoy a belly for 8 weeks, because my daughter was born at 36 weeks.

I didn't start showing until I was 7 months. Every time I went to the doctor I had to tell them I was pregnant (because...you know, doctors don't read the effing charts). At least my OB thought it was funny that he had to keep verifying that I was still pregnant. Maybe you're just carrying really well lol

Is it your first?
I never really "showed" with my first, i was just so tiny. Then with my second I didn't look obviously pregnant until around 22-24 weeks, and this time with my third I looked obviously pregnant around 15 weeks.

I am delivering my second only ten pounds bigger than I was before I had my first...I also am still wearing clothes from 14 except in the boobs I know it sucks but dont worry about it till you get to six months and its your fundus they are worried about...Being small sucks and all people say is how they wish for that and women are mean sometimes and spiteful but its very normal and when you wake up with that huge belly like everyone else usually does you will get to the the point of begging for this day again

Lucky! With this one(my 4th) I started showing EARLY...I know the early stuff was bloat, but that bloat didn't really go away, so I looked bigger early on.

It took me a while to show with my first, I think I was a little past 20 weeks when I finally started showing. But don't worry.. everyone's different. I'm 25 weeks and showing a lot more than most women at 25 weeks, if that makes you feel any better lol. I keep asking myself the same thing, "How come I have the huge belly and these girls have the cute little bellies?" lol But everyone's different.. and don't worry, you'll be nice and big soon enough, then you'll miss being small hahah.

My first post on here was similar to yours! I had the same worries that i wasnt showing. I was horribly sick till 5 months or so, my SO and I broke up when I was 14 weeks and I was there in the room when my grandfather died, I was 19 weeks then. I was horribly stressed for ages so also worried that was the reason for no belly. I got a few comments like: are you sure you're even pregnant??? Who ate all the pies? Where is the baby, in your pocket? Stupid things really but it bothered me. I hit 23 weeks at Christmas then another week later....suddenly a bump!   I was delighted. She was my first and the doc said it was normal not to show for ages. I never got a huge bump but soon it was obvious that I was pregnant and I carried high too. I wore most of my regular clothes right up to the delivery, I just had to buy some more sweat pants (I loved how comfy they were! Lol) and some maternity tops as my boobs were huge. Even my work uniform, I went up a size in the pants coz my regular size was cutting into my bump, they were horribly baggy around my ass and hips it was just my bump holding them up lol. Don't worry mama, you'll get a bump soon! It'll most likely catch you by surprise. I still miss mine at times!
