I think it can be comforting. The British are classically known for valuing calm demeanor in times of crises. They didn't make shirts, just posters.

Britain was never invaded. many posters were printed during the war to morale and encourage citizens, such as many to grow your veg and encouraging women join the work force. it s important to keep morale up when your citiesare being bombed and your children have been evacuated to the countryside.
