36w4d ultrasound results

-very low head
-low end if avg amniotic fluid (leaking a little daily)
-estimated 6lb8oz

Does this have any bearing when I may go into labor

The fact that you're actively leaking and so close to term makes me wonder why the doctors haven't already proposed the idea of inducing you.

Have they talked about inducing you?

I saw the ultrasound tech but I see my doc in two hours a haven't told him yet

so only the tech is surmising that you may be leaking due to the lower fluid, or has someone confirmed with a vaginal exam and either a swab or a ferning test that there is acturally the presence of amniotic fluid on the outside of your cervix?

The leaking daily part was not determined by the ultrasound but by me, because I feel little runs of water daily only a little but the u/a said I'm in the low end if average but not enough to be considered low fluid

My fluid went from a 12 to a 6 at 36 weeks and my sons head was in position. I ended up going into labor a week later.

low/average can be someone's normal state of being. As for the leaking feeling, I've leaked amniotic fluid throughout the third trimesters of my first two pregnnacies and then with my third had very watery discharge, feeling a trickle every day, but it was repeatedly checked and was not amniotic fluid. I guarrantee you that those two things feel so similar that you would not be able to tell the difference. Both even left the same size wet spots on my underwear and the watery discharge even soaked me through to my jeans one time. Without a swab or ferning to confirm I wouldn't assume that you're leaking amniotic fluid just yet. Do tell the doctor about it though as with your fluid level he will likely want to test you for Amniotic fluid and see if it indeed is. If it is then expect him to want to immediately induce you.

Hopefully your not really leaking because it puts the baby at risk for infection. It could just be runny discharge. My Dr. thought I was leaking twice and both times the test was negative. If you are leaking they will probably induce you right away.

Immediately? Then I hope it's not!

Yep, like same day, walk you straight up to a maternity room and get you on antibiotics and then induction. They don't want to mess around with that smurf once you are at least 34-36 weeks (depending on the doctor and hospital). I've you're very preterm then it's beneficial to keep you on antibiotics and get you as close to term as possible but if you're already over 36 weeks then they won't wait at all.
