Where do I turn?

I think I've been dealing with some depression...
No direct thoughts or attempts at self-harm, but have hoped for it.
Where do I turn?
Do I call my OB?
A mental health counselor?
I've never dealt with this before?
Help!
I'm really embarrassed by this.

Considering you are pregnant go to your ob first. They can point you in the right direction for counceling and meds if you want/need them.

Start with your OB. Depression is nothing to be embarrassed by. Everyone has been depressed at some point in their life. I suffer from depression too if you ever need to talk feel free to pm me. Things do get better

OB. For sure. And it's nothing to be ashamed about. It's a chemical imbalance and nothing more. You don't have to indulge the Dr with details of these thoughts. Just say you're having "intrusive thoughts".

I was hoping things would get better on their own but they're just getting worse.

Just know that it will get worse after you have the baby so now's the time to speak up. Best of luck.

All these ladies are right I have a really bad case of depression and you go to the ob first and if they think its a bad case you will be in good hands at a hospital or therapy... It will get worst after the baby is born... Mine did if you want to talk message me...

Definitely ask your OB! Depression is more common during pregnancy than we think... I have had really bad anxiety so I know where you are coming from. Don't stress too much though, it will get better   Try going for a walk, watching something that makes you happy, going shopping with friends, try not to be alone.. I had severe depression after my first miscarriage and I understand what you mean by all of it... if you need anything message me!
