sex after a c section......

how long should I wait? I had my c section 2 weeks ago tomaro. and I wasn't able to have sex during my whole pregnancy (not doctors orders) but because it was extreme pain and I couldn't take it. but now that im not pregnant anymore I feel like I can try it again. I feel so bad for my boyfriend because before we got pregnant we had sex ALL the time and when I got pregnant it completely stopped. how long should I wait to have sex? I have a doctor check up on Wednesday but tonight he is coming to Orlando to see me and we havnt seen in each other in a few days ( daughter has medical issues and has to be in the hospital for 6 to 8 weeks so im staying 40 mins away from home to be with her) and he went back to work, so I wanted to treat him tonight but im not sure if it will hurt my insides

It may or may not be painful. The biggest risk is infection. I would wait a few more weeks.

you still need to wait six weeks unless your ob says otherwise to prevent infection or a dangerous pregnancy ....sorry hun I feel ya but I got put on pelvic rest both pregnancies so my hubby got it in once in the past two years we have been married he was deployed for the other months sadly but a man will stand by you babe and there are other things that can be done for him .....hint hint.....sucks I know for you both but it will still be sore especially cause even with the surgery your vag is gonna be different and by going so long without it things are gonna feel like the first time all over again

you should wait the recommended amount of time (at least six weeks). i didn't, but that's what you SHOULD do.

what about toys? to reduce infection?

Had 3 c sections they want you to wait 8 weeks. I waited 5 but I was givin the okay due to healing.

Just like with a vaginal birth you are supposed to wait 6 weeks. However after my first c-section my DH and I waited just over 2 weeks and then with my 2nd c-section we waited 3 weeks. Just because we did I am not saying its OK or that your should but I did not have any pain and we were VERY careful. Just make sure that when you do that you use some kind of birth control. Since after birth you are very fertile and also there is a risk of infection.

Just don't insert anything vaginally, and don't allow him to perform oral sex on you. Clitoral stimulation is probably okay.

Didn't your dr go over this? You cannot insert anything vaginally.

If you're ok with risking infection who cares. Personally, recovering from delivering my baby was enough pain to add infection into the mix

I waited two weeks with my last. I was fine. They say you should wait 6 weeks though. I went against doctors orders.
