Sciatica before and during pregnancy

I have a bunch of pain issues related to a MVA I had in 2002 that nearly took my life. To "briefly" sum it up, I crushed both feet and ankles, partially severed my left foot and fractured my femur in 14 places. I have a lot of hardware in my legs and over the years I've developed back problems. Last year my Dr discovered I have sciatica and scoliosis. My last pregnancy I gained a substantial amount of weight and after the epidural my back was so bad. Anyways, I've lost 80lbs which I'm sure will help but I'm terrified of what this pregnancy has I'm store bc I
Not even 6 weeks and my back hurts, bad. I plan on discussing all of this with my Dr at my 1st appointment but did you ladies do anything natural to help with back and leg pain? All suggestions are appreciated. This is probably going to be my last child and I really wNt to enjoy the pregnancy and not be depressed and in pain the while time like I was last time.

see a ciro i see one monthly and yes they can see u wile pregnant... I have 5 bad disc and other stuff wrong plus sciatica yah my back hurts daily i am on pain meds but only take them when im in pain to the point i cant move.

I go every week. I've been going for 12+ years it is very helpful I agree.

it was not in ur post so i thought id say that lol... Mine gave me these however they are very expensive but work wonders. I still have them i try not to use them because i can't afford them and my HMO on medicaid wont cover them because they say its not approved for back pain.... LMAO when on the box thats what it is for. Its like 300 for a 30 day supply

Go to the chiropractor. I was in so much pain after my first pregnancy and especially birth.. I began going two years pp and it helped tremendously. This pregnancy my is wife referred me to a homeopathic chiropractor, I've been going once a month until I hit eight months..I feel amazing!

Is that the external patch that is like topical IBprofin? If so I tried that also. I didn't include the chiro or anything/everything I've tried, sorry
 
I've honestly done what I feel like is everything for pain. The only thing that ever worked was high doses of opiates and I'm sure I don't have to explain that didn't go we'll after years and years. Right now I'm on 100 mg of methadone and that just takes the edge off and I'm not thrilled about being pregnant on it, I had always hoped I'd be off the methadone before thinking about
Another baby but it didn't happen that way. It stinks those patches aren't covered I know they help a lot if ppl.

No its a patch but it numbs every thing it a local antithetic patch....

yah i take tynonal 3's and flexril but i can go with out for months or longer but i take them more now because of school

I remember being pregnant in school. My one class was 3 hours I use to have to stand up bc my back hurt SO BAD! I wish you luck!
