Membrane sweep on 2nd of April

I'm having a membrane sweep 2 days before my due date which is the 4th of April. That's if my daughter hasn't already come by then, anyway I wanted to know peoples thoughts on this! Like when you have had the sweep what things can you do to help bring on labour? x

It only works if your body is ready. It didnt work for me. And I had one 3 times with my youngest.

I'm hoping it will lol! I'm carrying a lot of waters too so that could help a bit? I'm already at risk of pre-term labour   did they give you any advice on what to do to help the sweep work? x

There is nothing that you can do. It will only work if your body is ready.

yeah mine didnt work either, i had 2 with my youngest. i ended up being induced.

If it doesn't work when do they induce you?

No.

First time moms are more likely to give birth after their due date. Inductions mean higher risk for C sections.

I had it all 3 times and did nothing else to bring on labor. With my first I went into labor a few hours after I had it done with my 2nd it was the next day and with the 3rd it was later that same day. I was dialated all 3 times when they did mine to atleast a 2 with my first I was 4 cm dialated. But it only works if your body is ready. Good luck.

Hopefully never, lots of women give birth between 40-41 weeks, no need to rush, i had my Membranes sweeped lkke 10times between all my kids, with my frist i went into labor about 48 hors after.

But most dr and stuff wait till around 41 weeks to induce.

Well I will just have to hope it works!   either way she's coming!
