Baby Swings?

posted 3rd Mar
With my two year old, I had two of them because each side of the family gave me one. I no longer have either of them because I didn't think I was having another baby any time soon, so I gave them to people who were pregnant and needed them.
I'm looking for ideas about what I should get this time. Something that is good quality, will last a while, and won't be too painful price wise.
Any advice would be appreciated.
TIA.

Check thrift stores!

I'd get one that can run on batteries but can also be plugged in

I would look at your local Thift stores. We have one that is run by a church and I found a brand new graco swing for $75 it was in excellent condition too. I wish I knew someone that needed one.

Awesome idea. We have a lot of second hand baby stores around here.
Thank you.

No LO is 4 but I got him one at a flea market and it worked great. Someone gave me a Bumbo one that was really low to the ground and LO would scream whenever he got in it.

One of the one's I had started to drag when LO got heavier.
I'm hoping to stumble across one that will last at least a few months without doing that lol.

we have this one

It can sing side to side or you can twist it to swing forward and backwards. Has songs, sounds and lights, and a little bird mobile. Can be plugged in or battery operated. They are selling them in stores now, toys r us, target. It's about $165 new. We got it at Once Upon A Child consignment shop for $60

That sounds awesome and the rice you got it for is amazing.
Can it be found on Amazon do you think?

yes, but looks like plus S&H (tax if your state does that with online orders) it's not much cheaper than getting it at target or something.

I'd find a consignment shop first.. we find everything more than half off there. We got a Jeep stroller that is usually $300+ for $125!

Oh yeah LO was already a big baby he was near 10lbs at birth. He cried whenever that thing would not swing as much. Poor Fatty. Now he is as skinny as rail.

I think that's what I'll do then. My mom bought one f the swings last time, and she just told me it was a $250 swing that she got for $70 at a place like that.

Aww poor tiny chubs lol.
DD was tiny. 5 pounds 14 OZ 19 inches long at birth. Even now she's only 24 pounds 33 inches long.
It's always the skinny guys who can eat lol. My fiance is 5"7 and around 140 pounds tops. Yet he makes a killing at the dinner table.

no problem! Until we had DD, and already had all of her stuff, I didn't even think to check thrift stores. And we have a ton of kid resale shops here; I wish I had known!

We're good! Finally got a number for a behavioral doctor/therapist to take Joey to see. He's been doing WAY better in school, though.
How are you all?
