Distribution of Wealth in the US video

Has anyone else seen this?

I saw it earlier today. I was horrified.

I just watched it.

And people wonder why so many people are on government assistance?

I just watched it and I think I sat like this the whole time  

Wow.

I knew things were bad, but I had no idea they were that bad.

I'll have to do some research, but I have a horrible suspicion that the Af. American freed slaves who were hired for pennies as servants back onto the plantations that owned them, immediately after the Civil War, were more equal to their former owners in income than the average employee of a fortune 500 does in comparison to the guy who owns the company is today.

I'm not exactly sure what this video is trying to prove. So we have a big gap between the top and the bottom...

Not just a big gap, but a much MUCH bigger gap than what anyone surveyed even thought we had.

It's an effective video from a pro-socilaism view. Those that dont think critically dont go much beyond the anti-capitalism and class warfare message.
I'm sure most dont notice that the video mixes income and net worth so it's hard to know what he is talking about. But, it's effective for the average 18 yr old.

Exactly. It left out so many details that it can't paint an accurate picture. It needed to broke down into wages from salaries or hourly pay, wages from cashing in stock options, net worth, etc...
