Teen Dads?
posted 3rd Mar
I'm 17 and pregnant and the baby's dad is still my boyfriend. He has a job and is looking for another. He is 18. I was wondering how many other teen dads actually stay around?

I was 17 (almost 1 when I got pregnant and my boyfriend was almost 19. I don't see him going anywhere at all any time soon and we have a great relationship but it definitely depends on the couple and situation. Me and my boyfriend have had it really easy for how young we are so.that plays a part in how well our relationship is doing.

My husband is a great example of a teen dad who stuck around.
We got pregnant at 17 and had our daughter shortly after DH's 18th birthday. I turned 18 a month later. We got married 2 years after our daughter was born and had our second child 2 years after that.
It's safe to say he's not going anywhere.

I dont think there is a percentage. It doesnt matter how nice rhe guy is, how long youve been together or how much he works....if a teenage guy was having sex it wasnt so he could have a kid...so if he doesnt stick around it doesnt make him a bad person. Same with adults!!! Just because someone got pregnant to an adult doesnt mean theyre going to stixk aroubd either.

My baby's dad isn't around he left when I was 8 weeks pregnant and most teen dads don't stay around because most guys are immature and wanna party especially when there of age to go clubbing. I know a lot teen moms that are single because they're guys left and wanted to enjoy there young life. Most don't stay but who knows

He actually does want kids but we always said we would wait. Obviously it didn't work(: He says he is going to stay but I know guys can change their minds about this. We have decided to not rush into getting married and wait a few years. If he is still around

We were parents at 18. He has worked his ass off. We own a house and two cars. I think it depends on the person and not their age.

I married one of those rare guys he was 15 when we conceived our son, now nearly four years later he's 19 were married we own out house he has two jobs working towards manager and we have our second child on the way

I don't personally know any teen mothers who made it past their baby's first birthday with the dad.

I was 18 when I got pregnant with my first, but DH was 20 (not a teen anymore). He stuck around, we got married when DS was 10 months old, and we are now expecting our second. He stepped up to the plate and we were only together 3 months when we got pregnant with DS. It worked out for me but it doesn't work out so well for everyone.
