toddler rash question

Dd started throwing up last week on Tuesday, we took her to the er Wednesday night, they told us she probably just had a stomach virus. She now has a rash on her face, little flat red and pink bumps, one is on her upper lip, and lots around her ears in almost a.circluar pattern... And a few on her tummy and butt cheeks. She has an appointment with her pedi this upcoming Wednesday... Is a rash like that normal with a stomach virus, or would you take her to the urgent care? She seems fine other than she still has diareah. Dh thinks im over reacting....as usual! Lol... Tia
