Birth Control?

I'm currently on the Depo but I've been told that after so many years of being on the depo that it will start deteriorating your bones, well I'm not a big person to begin with so I was wondering what do you think is the best birth control to take other then the mirana because I've had a couple friends on that and they had nothing but problems with it.

I've never heard that about Depo.

Look into Paragard. It's a non-hormonal IUD. What causes the majority of the problems for people with the Mirena is the hormonal aspect of it.

Yep 2 years of use is the longest they suggest being on it. I was on the Nuva Ring and loved it. If I have learned anything about BC is that its trial and error.

Its the shot. Depovara.. (Not sure on spelling.)

Honestly, I think the pill has the least possible side effects. That's the only thing I will take now. The depo made me feel like smurf, as well as Mirena... and HORRIBLE cramps. Also the depo got rid of my periods and I started to worry it might effect my fertility.

I just decided to go with the mini-pill until I chose to be done having kids. I ended up getting pregnant because I couldn't remember to take it and now this time around I'm just going to get my tubes tied. Apparently they can use bands to tie your tubes that are easily reversible... or so I hear. My DR and I are going to talk about it more in-depth when I get closer to giving birth. I'm excited!

My ex's mom was on it for 14 years straight.

My friend got this one type of birth control that they put a thing in your arm and its good for 3 years. I'm not sure if I want something in my arm tho..

Im on Paragard. Good for 10 years and hormone free. Love it!

Thats implanon, and its known to cause pregnancy like symptoms and non-stop bleeding. Like a matchstick under your skin. ekk.

So... This is a little awkward but how do they do the paragard?

I have the Implanon and I have had nothing but problems I wont recommend it but like the other girl said its trial and error with b/c every one is different.

Do you mean put it in? The open your cervix with a speculum usually a bit more than it is for a pap then they insert it and you're done.

Im getting mine tied this year. I had to get the Paragard until I go in to get mine tied. I am using the fiscel (sp) clips. My mom is a RN and said a lot of ladies are using that method now. That's all my OB does.
