Preclampsia

So I have been told by my doctor that I have preclampsia, a mild case. I am swelling like crazy and they have put me on modified bed rest. My blood pressure is pretty normal for most people but my doctor says for me it is high. I don't have much protein in my urine but I do have some more then they would like to see. Now I am having SOME pain under my right breast but it is not severe. I have been at the hospital so many times just to check things but it always comes back okay. I don't want to call my doctor unless I have to because they send me to the hospital for EVERY little thing. The baby is moving fine but I am somewhat nauseous and my head hurts slightly. My mother took my blood pressure and it is still not above what they told me to be concerned about. They told me to beware of the pain under my breast but they said it would be bad and it is not BAD. I don't want to over react but I don't want to NOT call when I should...any advice. Oh I am 37 weeks tomorrow.

I have no idea what that pain has to do with pre-e. I had pre-e and never got that pain. If your BP is ok, I would be concerned.

Better safe than sorry I was induced at 35 weeks due to preclampsia and I almost died blood pressure 180/110 its not something to take lightly I would go in I was in the hospital for 10 days before I was induced and they saved my life as well as my sons. If I would have known about all that pain and how it wasnt normal it might have been prevented. Better safe than sorry.

you wold be or would not be concerned? I know the Hellp syndrome has something to do with your liver and that is where my liver is but it does not hurt bad.

My BP is only 112 over 78 now so that is why I am trying not to worry.

I was also induced for pre-e but like I said, I never experienced pain like you describe.

I had tons of pains all over I also almodt gained 100 ibs due to it . It is something I wouldnt take lightly also the bottom number is a little up there top is normal but our blood pressure being pregnant shouldnt range over 140/70 at least my med class instructor said so....its your body your call your the only one who knows how you really feel

That's pretty normal for most people, but if your doctor is concerned, I would call. Better to be safe than sorry! Especially if you are having headaches along with the other pains.

Thanks...I am leaning toward calling. It has been going on for about two days...

Mine normally ran like 110/ 60 or something like that before I got pregnant...that is why they are concerned. I may just call.

I would totally call because I was told on the 28th that I may have it again...my husband is terrified he almost lost me once. I would always call because it could be more severe than they thought I could barely wake up and sit without almost passing out from being so dizzy and in pain. I was also 16 with my first 19 with my second and now 21 with my 3rd . Age is a big factor in it . Good luck with whatever you decide to do

Becareful is my advice here your lucky to be fine so far but what has happened to me and alot of girls on here with pre e literally and instantly it can turn deadly and shut down your organs ....if your symptoms start to really suck just keep an eye on your blood pressure and go in if it raises and ask for the protein to be checked this is one of those things when you go into L&D it doesent matter how annoying you are or if you were literally just there because it changes that fast and can become bad that fast

mine was 200/100 when i went into labor.

Well I am in the hospital now. My blood pressure has gone up. There is now protein in my urine. They are doing a 12 hour urine collection. I just got sick, real sick and when I called the nurse to tell her she came in and told me a nurse had just been in to take my blood pressure and talked to me and I had been walking around when she took the blood pressure. I don't remember any of this. It's crazy cause I am NOT like that. I sleep very light and don't ever do things and not remember. I am sufficiently nervous now. My blood pressure was 148 over 98 and now the top number is lower but the bottom number is still up. Knowing that my blood pressure is normally 110 over 60 or 60 over 110 whatever way it goes. I am just so nervous now.

I hope it settles for.you hun..even if it doesnt then at least youve made it to.37 weeks!! You did the right thing going in x
