Disagree. Those teen shows don't show any of them struggling with welfare programs, getting shut off notices from utility companies, running out of diapers/ food ect.... The only thing they really show is relationship drama.

If that girl is underage her parents can't legally kick her out they are still responsible for her until she's 18.

I think Teen Mom 1&2 does, because MTV is paying them out the butt so they live these luxurious lives with a brand new car every season and a new house/apartment every season. IMO, I REALLLLY wish they would write into the contract that the girls wouldn't get a cent of their profit until they are done filming the last season. At least then it would actually be real, KWIM?
16 & pregnant is good though, because they don't have any money yet! So the struggles are much more apparent.

But it does show the most important part to teen girls. Which is 98% of the daddy's don't stick around. A lot of young girls try to trap a guy or think its gonna be some fairy tale, that show does a good job of seeing how painful it can be to have a baby with someone who doesn't want anything to do with you.

For starters mom did her smurf well...and Son even tho he is a huge dumbass for this along with the girl is at least doing what he should be....I would give the girls parents time and the thing is no one in this thought to ask the girl if she wants to keep this baby tho she did purposly make it so IMO the idiot should be responsible but its her choice still and now that this situation is real she needs some time to think and discuss this plus get a job and insurance now to help with her half of things not even counting if she does keep that baby

I would offer to pay for an abortion as well but chances are if they were trying that isnt going to happen

Eh not true.... Teen mom doesn't show hardships but 16 and pregnant does. The one show the girls mother kicked her out and she had to stay at the neighbors and pay her rent and she was really struggling... Not a life I would want

But most teens don't have s solid concept on financial responsibility either. Man sticking around or not. They all think that they can afford s baby no problem and it is super easy to care for one.

I know. Sadly. And I realize I'd probably handle it all wrong, and that I have the very unpopular opinion here...but that's just honestly how I feel right now. If it were actually happening...I might feel differently. I do think that mom handled things amazingly well though. She was VERY level-headed. I can only imagine the dad's homecoming on Sunday...hey honey guess what? We have another kid! And we're going to be grandparents!! Dad: SMH this always happens when I go out of town...

I would let them move in. They would both have to get a job.. If the girl can't, tbh I'd probably kick her out. They both had a part in making that baby, there is no reason my son should have to struggle for something she wanted...

I would wonder what made him desire to make her happy, but what's done is done.

Pretty much what she's doing. I would be furious but there's nothing you can do... Personally, I would be so angry and hurt I would need time to my self to cool off... and from then I would do everything I could to make sure they were informing themselves about parenting decisions, work, their future, how they planned on getting the hell out of my home (although I would probably prefer they stay until they were able to absolutely afford a safe place within reason), and maybe talk to the girl about counseling to make sure this isn't a recurring theme in her/their life... I don't know how I'd feel about the marriage. I would be proud of my son for telling her dad... that takes some balls lol.

I don't know if I'd expect him to work full time as much as her work through pregnancy part time, too, so they can have room in their lives for college or training after high school. I would let her move in because I wouldn't want my grandchild on the streets (I'm assuming that an abortion is totally out the question for the GF).
