sleep...

posted 3rd Mar
I thought kids were suppose to start wanting to sleep in after they've stopped taking naps?....my son no longer takes naps...usually goes to bed around 7:45-8 and STILL wakes up before the sun...I'm dying...and it doesn't help that my headache has returned and I just want to cry...I want sleep and it won't happen for another 12 hours...why!?!?!?!?!..

Ha ha, nope. My kid doesn't take naps most days and she's still up before the sun.

it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have this stupid pounding headache...I've literally just turned the tv on and rolled over today...I usually don't do that but I feel like today's a "lazy mom day" and I'm just gonna cut corners...mom of the year goes to!!?!!...

I just wish I could stop being so grumpy on top of being lazy....LO is getting most of my moodiness and I know he doesn't deserve that..

That's how I've been feeling, but it's not your fault, mama. You're sleep deprived and moody. It's understandable.

DS has been getting up at 6:30 when he usually gets up at 7:45. I'm gonna put darker curtains in his room again cause that seems to make him sleep till at least 8:30. He has the same bedtime as your LO but takes one nap in the day.
I have no advice though, if your LO is up before the sun. Maybe a little bit later of a bed time?

I'm having a lazy mom day too. I am just to tired. Even though my kids didn't get up until 10

I keep trying to tell myself that...I still feel like poop and then add on the lack of sleep and moodiness..I'm just one hot mess!

nah, no matter what time he goes to bed he still wakes up super early....he's always been like that..once before he stopped taking naps I tried stopping nap time and then letting him fall asleep when he was ready....he was up until almost 1 am and I had to force him to bed still and he got up at around 7:30...he just hates sleep for some reason...

DD used to sleep later, but that was also when she woke up once or twice at night.
She sleeps through the night now, she goes to sleep at 8:30pm, like clockwork and wakes up at 7:30am now. So she is getting tonsss of sleep for her little body.
Me on the other hand...I go to bed at like 11-12 and toss and turn all night (especially right now at 37w) get maybe 3 hrs total, by time she wakes up and comes in the room I'm more exhausted then I was when I went to bed in the first place
