abortion, twins, no meds..

well I had a surgical abortion yesterday..I was pregnant with twins and I was almost eight weeks along...I have a six and three year old at home, work a full time job and am working on saving my marriage... alittle bit of my story...

Texas law requires an ultrasound twenty four hours prior to receiving an abortion and you also have to meet the doctor performing theabortion...so last Wednesday I had my ultrasound, did paperwork, some labs and met the doctor..all the staff was nice but the clinic was very busy. I opted for no meds or sedation because I don't likethe way vicodin and valium make me feel and I wanted to drive myself home...they assured me procedure was over in less than a minute..

Saturday arrives, I wake early and head to clinic..I pull in and am just sickened..at least fifty people including children holding up signs saying abortion is murder, babies are murdered here, people with microphones screaming that you have options, people out here want to adopt yourbaby, etc....I don't give a smurf if you're pro-life but protesting is just a whole other level of sick..afterwards someone even screamed u should repent for my sins... anyways, I waited, took some ibuprofen, and some citotec, and waited..theycalled me into the room, I undressed and was nervous...My blood pressure was 130/90...the inserted the speculum, just felt awkward, then two injections of a localanesthetic into my cervix...I started getting really nervous, doc informed me he was going to start the vacuum aspiration and it would be minorcramping...it hurt but only a little bit and literally in thirty seconds he was done...he said I had alot of blood clots and was going to miscarry anyways....

As soonas I sat up my blood pressure dropped to 80/50...I was going to commit and pass out which they said was a reaction to the local anaesthetic....it wore off in a few minutes as I sat in recovery eating some crackers and sprite and my blood pressure returned to normal...

later that day I felt very minor cramping but overall felt relieved, no morning sickness anymore and just ready to get back to my normal life...Just thought I'd share my story...

Tho I have to give you serious Kudos for posting your story on here as it can help alot of girls feel better about their decision and help them relax before they go for their own as not alot of people are willing to talk about how they went in and the procedure was fine and that nothing traumatic happened

Yeah if I can help someone then that is great...today is day two post abortion and I still feel fine..I know this was the rightdecision..I was scared but I'm so glad it's over..time to move forward with life and focus on my kids...

Sorry about the protestors   I am glad you did what was right for you. I hope your recovery continues to be smooth sailing.

Where I live there's a planned parenthood and there's always protestors... I want to throw water fill balloons at them.

Im glad you shared your story. Im sorry you had to go through all this, but Im glad you have the stength to do so.

If I can offer any advice, move your life forward. Dont sit on this, its done and over and you made the best decision for YOU (Ive been readign your posts the last few weeks). You did this for your family that is already here. Good luck to you mama.
