Percocet and breastfeeding?

Safe or no?

I have T3'a but they're barely doing anything. I will suffer through the pain if they aren't but, something else for the pain would be AMAZING.

i was told to not breastfeed for 10 hours after having minor surgery. The gave me fentynol, some sedative and percocets.

They tried giving me Percocet after Vi & they knew I breastfed.. So I'm thinking they're okay.

You can call the pharmacy and speak to a pharmacist and ask?
Your body probably metabolizes them and I doubt by the time that happens, anything will be passed through to the baby.

Yes, just make sure your baby is not having any reactions.

Completely and totally safe to take while bfing!!!! I took that for days after my csection!!!!!!!

I was sent home from the hospital with Percocet after having DS, lol. Totally safe, mama. Feel better!!

I would suggest either pumping, or taking them about 20 minutes before the feeding will end. That way, it will just be getting into your system right after baby eats and you will have max time before the next feeding! Pumping would be best though. I don't think there is a reason to suffer through pain if it's not necessary...

Percocet is safe. It's what I had with my csection. I did notice it affected my supply though. But it could have been my body regulating after birth too.

Why would you try to get something stronger?
