Joint checking account & checks
posted 2nd Mar
I never put my husband's name on our checks, so now that I'm reordering new checks I want to put his name on them so he can have some checks as well.
Do I write it like:
HISNAME & MYNAME or
HISMAME &/or MYNAME
Do I need the "or" in there or is the "&" ok?

I've always done it on two lines. Top line his name, directly underneath my name.
I only do his name first because he's the one who would ever write checks, and handles most of our finances.

do you have an "and" account or an "or" account. And means you both have to sign everything. or means just one of you does.

You don't even need and/&/or in it.

My mom's old checks said "or". Like, Jane or John Smith. I don't use checks.
