Get one of those little SIDS monitors to put under the mattress, and once a night, make a point to fight the urge to check, when you know nothing is wrong. It'll get easier once you realize that even if you're not worrying about it, everything is fine.

I was like that with my son. I could not figure out why. I think it is anxiety, not PTSD. They are very different. Hormones change so quickly after giving birth. For me, it really triggered anxiety. Just remind yourself all is well, your son is fine, and see your Dr.

I'd definitely be willing to try that, I really appreciate your advice. I'm hoping if I start out small as you suggested, it'll gradually get better and then eventually the worries will fade.
