Weighing Yourself

posted 1st Mar
Is there a "better time" to weigh myself? Like, morning, noon, night?
Obviously the same time, each time I weigh myself. But when?

ALSO, how often do you weigh yourself? My old scale broke or the battery died or something, and for a while DH refused to get a new one because I weigh myself like, 8 times a day. I finally got a new one today but I'm hoping to tame down the obsessive weighing myself thing. .

TIA!

I weigh at the gym but I know you aren't supposed to weigh yourself daily. A couple times a week should be good. Take your measurements, don't worry so much about the numbers on the scale, look for how many inches you're losing.

Morning.

I don't have a scale, so I get weighed at the doctor and sometimes I weigh myself at my mom's.

I heard it's best to weigh yourself in the morning, I forgot why. I hardly ever weigh myself...my sister is obsessed though. She has to close the door whenever she does it too.

Yeah, I'm gonna do that, too. As ridiculous as it sounds, I just like to keep tabs on my weight. It fluctuates a lot but if it's up higher than it would be with normal fluctuations, I'll know that maybe I should go light on my cheat day or something, KWIM?
I'm also terrible at keeping up with my measurements. I should enter that all into MFP tomorrow instead of writing it on some crumpled up piece of paper that I hide from Brett so he doesn't know "how fat I am"

that's me
I plan on NOT doing that anymore if I can help it. My scale originally broke, I think, because when we moved DH left it in the trunk in a box so that I wouldn't do that. And I think the cold weather messed it up haha

I understand, a lot of people love seeing those numbers but I know when you're like that you can start obsessing over them and get insanely depressed when they aren't dropping fast enough.

Keep track of your measurements!!

Oh and remember you can carry anywhere from 5-10 lb of poop so it might make it seem like you gained weight.

It is super common so you're not a weirdo but it's not good for your mental health when you do that! Please try to stop...
